My husband and I enjoyed our stay. It was nice to have the premium TV Stations in our room. For it being and older motel, the accommodations were quite adequate. Family with Teens
The Econo Lodge should not be opened to the public until construction is completed. My son(in room 206?),and I(in room 207) had traveled a long way to visit WVU for orientation the next day. We could only afford to stay one night. The filthy bathroom, the indoor/outdoor carpeting along the hallways,and workmen asking me to move my car so debris would not fall on me or my car, Loud bangs and thuds that kept me up until at least midnight, along with the frightening ride home due to lack of sleep is how I will remember the Econo Lodge in Morgan town. Solo Traveler
Aside from the coffee pot needing cleaned before we used it and the lack of a computer hookup as advertised, it suited our needs, if you can do with 15 TV channels, The continental buffest was a little lacking, but all in all we thought we got what we paid for. ...read more

Traveling as Couple
Upon checking in, I asked if a 1st floor room was available. The clerk informed me rather rudely no. I asked if she would please check for anything, as my husband does not take stairs well. The answer was no. I found out that there was a 1st floor Jauzi room empty and asked if I could pay the difference in price and have that room, One again the answer was no. I have never encountered this type of behavior from someone in the service industry. Further, we will not be staying in nor recommending this establishment to anyone. ...read more
